The Rejuvapen instrument itself utilizes what’s called “medical microneedling”, and in Rejuvapen’s case, 9 micro-needles are used on the skin to create thousands of invisible and virtually painless perforations. By introducing these microscopic channels in the epidermis, the body immediately responds by naturally increasing the formation of new tissue to refresh mature skin, as well as releasing of growth factors that promote scar and hyperpigmentation repair and healing. Adjustable needle lengths, from 0.2 to 2.5 milometers, allows customized treatments ranging from light skin freshening to deep scar repair anywhere on the body. This means we’re capable of serving the regenerative skin care needs of all patients, regardless of age, level of need, and special considerations.
The Rejuvapen Procedure & Recovery
Rejuvapen treatments are fast and simple, involving only a few quick minutes. After the initial treatment, our patients often notice that their skin has a healthy pink glow and that fine lines are diminished. Patients may experience some minor redness for two to four days following their treatment, resembling a mild sunburn. This will generally dissipate after a few days. Patients’ skin may also feel warm, tight, or itchy for a few short days, and mild bruising could occur as well. All of these side effects are very minor and will disappear fully in less than a week.
Skin naturally takes about a month to synthesize new collagen, but it’s generally not until about four months after treatment that patients will enjoy the full effects of their Rejuvapen treatments. We recommend our patients receive four treatments, spaced at least two weeks apart, for the very best results.
